The Whisnants

Over the years, many Southern Gospel groups have come and gone. But there is one group that has stood the test of time. This Morganton, North Carolina based group has been singing and ministering through song across the United States and Canada for 37 years.

Jeff Whisnant, owner and manager says, "We placed our ministry in God's hands 37 years ago and have watched Him do miraculous things. There is no doubt in my mind that God has His hand on this ministry."

The current line-up of Jeff and Susan Whisnant, Aaron Hise and Eric Ollis have a sound that fans, promoters, and churches are raving about. Jeff says, " I have asked God to allow us to be the very best that we can be so that He can use this ministry to touch people's lives. He has done that!"

With 8 #1 Songs and numerous Top 40's, the group continues to see God's handiwork through their ministry. Their song "What You Took From Me"- Singing News Chart Song of the Year-2003 and "Even In The Valley" - Singing News Chart Song of the Year- 2004. Other achievements have been being nominated for Trio of the Year 4 times and getting numerous individual nominations (Favorite Young Artist, Favorite Female Singer and Favorite Alto) to name a few. They have made 15 appearances on the National Quartet Convention, appeared on the Gospel Music Southern Style Program (INSP Network), participated in the Feb. 2007 Gaither Video Taping in Nashville, TN and have performed in Hawaii and Canada.

As you attend a concert or worship service with the Whisnants, their goal is that the message of their music will be clear and point people to the Cross of Christ.

Individual Information

Jeff Whisnant

He is the only original member traveling today and has 37 years of experience. Jeff manages the group and sings the baritone part.

Susan Whisnant

Susan is married to Jeff and has been singing with the group for over 21 years. Her beautiful alto voice and her heart for ministry are clearly evident in her performance. Southern Gospel Music fans love her and after you hear her, you'll understand why.

Jeff and Susan have two boys, Austin(13) and Ethan(10).
Both boys travel with the group.

Aaron Hise

He has been with The Whisnants for the past 7 years. Aaron is from DeMotte, IN. and has many years of full time singing experience. He has a beautiful tenor voice and adds much to the ministry with his singing and spirit.

Eric Ollis

Eric plays piano / keyboards for the group and has been here for 3 1/2 years. He has played for full-time groups for over 19 years. He brings skill, energy and some comedy to the stage.
